The Excalibur’s wide 28mm lugs and angular case need a band with some presence; a thin strap looks lost next to it. Nubuck on top gives a soft, matte, suede-like texture that pairs well with skeletonised dials, while the rubber underside is resistant to water and sweat. How to fit it
- Lay the watch face down on a soft cloth so the case and crystal are protected.
- Use a spring bar tool to compress the spring bar at each lug and remove the current band.
- Seat a spring bar in each end of the new band, place one tip in the lug hole, compress the other tip and let it click into place.
- Pull gently on both sides to check it is locked in. Never open the case back: the band attaches only at the lugs.
