Why replace with a 316L steel bracelet
Stretched links, deep scratches or a loose clasp are clear signs that a bracelet needs replacing. This one uses 316L steel, curved end links that sit flush against the case, and a folding clasp that keeps the watch secure during daily wear. If you want the same bracelet presented by reference for both Conquest and HydroConquest, it is also available as the bracelet for Longines Conquest and HydroConquest.
How to fit it
- Lay the watch face down on a soft, clean surface and have a spring bar tool ready.
- Insert the tool between the end link and the lug, compress the spring bar and lift the old bracelet away. Repeat on the other side.
- Fit the spring bars into the curved end links of the new bracelet, align them with the lug holes and let them click into place.
- Check both sides are secure. Never open the case back. If you are unsure, a jeweller or watchmaker can do it in minutes.
How to shorten the bracelet
Look for the arrows on the inside of the links: they show the direction to push the pins out. Remove the same number of links on both sides of the clasp so the watch stays centred on your wrist.
Frequently asked questions
My bracelet is stretched. Can I replace just the bracelet?
Yes. The bracelet attaches with spring bars at the lugs, so you can swap it without any work on the watch itself.
Which width do I need for L3.781?
21mm, the same as L3.642 and L3.782. L3.641 takes 19mm and L3.841 takes 22mm.
Which direction do the pins come out?
Follow the arrows printed on the inside of the links.
